Identity for “ØYA Music Festival 2025”
Øyafestivalen is one of the largest and most influential music festivals in Norway, transforming Oslo’s Tøyen Park into a buzzing hub of music, people, and culture every August. With tens of thousands attending over four days, it’s a major event that marks the height of the Norwegian festival summer.
Since every artist provided their own press photos often shot by different photographers and in very different styles, we needed a way to create visual consistency. The solution was to process all images through a halftone treatment.
With a design system developed in close collaboration with the client, we were able to execute at a consistently high level together with the marketing department.
Every artist was provided with fully custom graphics, resulting in more than 80 hand-curated and original designs. Each piece was tailored to the individual performer and carried through across all platforms, ensuring both uniqueness and coherence within the overall identity.Client: ØYA

By reducing the photos to a uniform halftone texture, they gained a shared visual language while still keeping the essence of each portrait intact. The technique flattened stylistic differences, made the imagery feel cohesive across more than 80 artists, and connected the photography seamlessly with the festival’s graphic identity.
